Lori Igleski, Fifth Star Founder


Lori Igleski has 26 years of professional experience concentrated in business development, project management, marketing and event management. Unique to Lori’s career is the combination of corporate and civic experience in both client facing and corporate staff functions. She has had the opportunity to work alongside Chicago’s and the Nation’s corporate and elected leadership on an important civic project.

In 2010, Lori formed Fifth Star Consulting LLC, to help its clients design, develop and execute innovative projects and events in a collaborative, relationship-driven manner. FSC also serves in an advisory capacity to assist organizations with strategic initiatives and helps them objectively solve business problems. FSC's clients are concentrated in the financial services industry but also include government, not-for-profit and middle market businesses. FSC has completed projects involving the integration of several FDIC acquisitions, strategic planning, business process redesign, policy and procedure development, report rationalization and management dashboard development.

Prior to forming Fifth Star Consulting LLC, Lori served as a member of the Chicago 2016 senior leadership team where she spent two years developing Chicago’s bid for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Her accomplishments include designing and executing over 300 events to build support for the bid. Lori also led programs to recruit over 20,000 volunteers who served as an unpaid workforce, as well as bid advocates, in the international campaign. She led all hospitality activation for Chicago 2016 which included negotiation of significant value-in-kind contributions and the procurement of all event related services. Lori created the Accommodation theme for Chicago’s Olympic bid which included the delivery of housing agreements with 300 hotels and the development of Chicago as a destination for fun, business and sport.

Prior to her involvement with Chicago 2016, Lori spent 22 years with JP Morgan Chase and predecessor organizations such as American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago and Bank One. Beginning her career as a banker, Lori spent ten years focused on business development, client and risk management. In those roles, Lori was responsible for providing comprehensive financial solutions including credit, treasury management, and capital market products to her clients and prospects.

To build on her success as a banker, Lori developed expertise in leading clients and employees through several merger integration initiatives including the rebranding of American National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago into Bank One. Lori also led the merger integration of Bank One’s commercial banking line of business into JP Morgan Chase just prior to joining Chicago 2016. This effort involved leading 25,000 Commercial clients and 5,000 employees through 5 deposit platform conversions, 3 loan accounting system conversions and over 35 treasury product platform conversions.

Lori holds an MBA in Finance, concentration in Entrepreneurship from DePaul University and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. She presently serves on the board of directors of Wesley Child Care Center and The Civic Federation. She is a 2003 Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago. She has served on a number of not-for-profit boards including Chicago Finance Exchange and The Women’s Treatment Center. Lori resides in Glenview, IL with her husband and three teenage children.
